Everyday I have choices and sometimes I am at war with my own desires. I want so much to pick up the dust of this earthly existence and sprinkle it on me. It would be so much easier to keep my old ways and say, “Yes, if it makes me feel good what’s the harm?”
Then Lord, I realize that You also walked the dust of this earth. You wept over the sins of the people of dust. You taught. You healed. You loved. And then O Lord, You died for the very people who chose dust over You.
As I read Your Word, nourish me. Change my desires from the ways of this world to the image of Your Son.
Let me always realize that I am in the world but not of the world. Grant that I follow Your example and share, minister and love those You bring before me.
