O Lord,
Just as Your disciples from long ago,
I need courage in the tunnels of life.
There are so many perplexing issues.
It is hard to keep fear from my heart.

My confidence melts as ice in summer.
I cry out because I forgot about You.
I hear Your words, “Take courage!”
At last today I realize Your presence.

You are the rock upon whom I lean.
Take my fear, replace it with courage.
My hand in Yours, I’ll walk with You.
Fill me anew with Your Holy Spirit.
