Sweet to the Soul

in Prayer for Today Share Facebook Twitter Pinterest Email

“Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24

Lord,

May my words be:

Light in the darkness…

Comfort to the lonely…

Nourishment to the weak…

Encouragement to the tired…

Assurance to the doubter…

Healing to the sufferer…

Peace to the heart…

Sweetness to the soul…

Because of Jesus, Amen.

Jesus Is Passing By

on March 24, 2011

The sharp blade of a “bolo” knife sliced through my hand, and as I lay in the blood-stained snow, the reality of death hovered over me. “Was I really going to die?”

Fingerprints of Faith

Fingerprints Song

O Lord, You spoke the majesty of Your creation,

Galaxies, land, and seas sprang forth.

You fashioned me before I was born,

And placed eternity upon my heart.

You gave me Your word as a guide.

It brings light to daily life.

You want me to abide in Your love.

And in profound love, died in my place.

You said, “Come, walk, talk with Me Tell Me the questions of your heart.”

You saw me past all my stubborn ways, and gave me a tender, responsive heart.

You said to trust You with all my heart.

I said “Yes Lord, make Your ways known.”

You held my hand during the storms, Leading me to still and quiet waters.

You gently shaped me to be teachable. And fed me from Your nourishing vine.

You taught me to serve with gladness…

And to leave Your fingerprints of love.

Amen.
