The Star in the East

in Prayer for Today Share Facebook Twitter Pinterest Email

Lord,

Our thoughts focus on the star of Bethlehem.

It led the way to where Your dear Son slept.

At birth He was clothed in swaddling clothes.

Today He offers us robes of righteousness.

Because of Jesus, Amen.

“We forgot about you,” my friends responded after I had discovered the perfect Hide-And-Go-Seek spot. So good, in fact, that no one found me.

Fingerprints of Faith

Fingerprints Song

O Lord, You spoke the majesty of Your creation,

Galaxies, land, and seas sprang forth.

You fashioned me before I was born,

And placed eternity upon my heart.

You gave me Your word as a guide.

It brings light to daily life.

You want me to abide in Your love.

And in profound love, died in my place.

You said, “Come, walk, talk with Me Tell Me the questions of your heart.”

You saw me past all my stubborn ways, and gave me a tender, responsive heart.

You said to trust You with all my heart.

I said “Yes Lord, make Your ways known.”

You held my hand during the storms, Leading me to still and quiet waters.

You gently shaped me to be teachable. And fed me from Your nourishing vine.

You taught me to serve with gladness…

And to leave Your fingerprints of love.

Amen.
