Lord,
The rain falls on the windshield of my car.
My eyes strain to see through to the road.
My vision is blurred and I can’t see ahead.
The wipers try in vain the window to clear.

Lord, my sins are like the torrential rain.
Stains of my sins have blocked my view.
Decisions I’ve made did not include You.
I need Your shed blood to wash sins away.

You gave the earth eternal salvation’s offer.
Repentance of heart is the way for cleansing.
You are the way through life’s rain clouds.
Your steadfast love gives me hope and joy.
